Gansu Telecom deploys Redback's SMS platform to enable broadband access in China's Gansu province

LANZHOU, China -- Redback Networks Inc.(Nasdaq:RBAK - news), a leading providerof solutions for next-generation metro broadband and optical networks,today announced that Gansu Telecom, one of the largesttelecom operators in China's western region, plans to deploy theRedback® SMS(TM) 10000 platform, the industry's mostscalable subscriber management system. Gansu plans to deliver fullbroadband connectivity to its residential customers byleveraging Redback's market-leading subscriber management technology.Gansu plans to deploy SMS 10000 platforms in its data center located inthe capital city of Lanzhou to manage the province'sDSL users.
