Fahri Diner has joined Xebeo Communications' board of directors

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J. -- Xebeo Communications, Inc., a leading developer of carrier-class switching platforms for the Optical Ethernet, today announced that Fahri Diner, founder of Qtera Corporation, has joined the company's Board of Directors. Mr. Diner is an established entrepreneur and visionary in fiber optic telecommunications, whose expertise spans product strategy, business development, and finance. Most recently, Fahri Diner achieved substantial success at Qtera Corporation. As the company's Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Diner enabled the organization to quickly become the leading provider of ultra-long-haul photonic networking solutions for the Optical Internet. In January 2000, Nortel Networks acquired Qtera for $3.25 billion and Mr. Diner continued to serve as President of the Qtera Division until May 2001.In making today's announcement, Kerry Fendick, Founding Member and Director of Xebeo Communications stated, "Fahri's proven experience in building a startup company to successfully address a fast growing market will enhance our ability to execute on our vision."
