WILMINGTON, Del. -- PSI-TEC Corporation (http://www.psiteccorp.com), a wholly owned subsidiary of PSI-TEC Holdings, Inc. (Pink Sheets: PTHO - News), announced today the filing of two patents for novel telecommunication technologies. These revolutionary material designs ("electro-optic plastics") signify a dramatic departure in the history of similar material architectures.

Electro-optic materials provide for interactions between electricity and light and thus are essential for high-speed fiber-optic telecommunications. "Electro-optics influence our daily lives in so many ways, most of which we are greatly unaware," said PSI-TEC CEO, Frederick Goetz, Jr. "Most of us don't care how the Internet runs or how a stealth bomber navigates to its target. We simply want to be able to check our email and we want our children to come home safely. At PSI-TEC we develop the future of the technology that makes it possible."

After a thorough review of PSI-TEC's newly patented electro-optic material designs, a Senior Engineer and Scientist at the Air Force Research Laboratory (Wright-Patterson AFB; Dayton, OH) concluded that, "PSI-TEC's molecular designs show promise of a five to ten times improvement over existing commercial polymeric architectures." Performance improvements of this magnitude signify a significant breakthrough in the field of fiber-optic telecommunication.

Electro-optic plastics are now or have been under development by multiple branches of the Department of Defense and many large corporations including Lockheed Martin, Corning, 3M and Honeywell. These materials are expected by many members of government and industry to represent a core technology in numerous future military and commercial fiber-optic systems. Many of these organizations have had extreme difficulty in the production of effective high- performance, high-stability electro-optic plastics. PSI-TEC management believes that these problems may be effectively solved through the application of its novel, patented electro-optic technologies.

Mr. Goetz explained, "We have invented an entirely new design paradigm. This is something completely different. We believe that this design paradigm is so revolutionary that it will dictate how all high-performance electro- optic plastics are made from now on."
