FREMONT, Calif. -- Primanex Corporation (OFC 2004 Booth#4453), a leading provider of solid-state Magneto-Optic (MO) devices, announced a new product portfolio with the addition of Etalon filter based and TFF based product families, each led by a new design of tunable add/drop filter and hitless tunable filter respectively.

Primanex Corporation has established a new R&D center in QingDao, China in addition to the successful establishment of Primanex China’s production facility in 2003. The China facility has now become a fully functional engineering development and production center, while Primanex Corporation in the United States focuses on technical research and sales & marketing efforts. The new addition of Primanex’ “Tunable Duo” is the demonstration of this efficient internal collaboration between the two shores. The Etalon based device line includes wavelength reference, athermal filters and tunable add/drop filters with DWDM tuning range, all with no moving parts; the innovative TFF based device line includes compact and low-cost OADM modules and hitless tunable filters over the entire C or L band. Primanex designed the “Tunable Duo” with the company’s reputed supreme reliability in mind and, best of all, this set of tunable devices come with very low cost structure.
