WILMINGTON, Mass. -- Polychromix®, Inc., a developer of advanced wavelength management solutions for optical networking, today announced it has successfully completed the audit and registration process for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2000 standard for Quality Management Systems.

The rigorous ISO 9001:2000 Certification process ensures Polychromix and all registered companies maintain high standards of quality through quality management systems in key internal functions from design through manufacturing and into customer service and support.

“Our reputation as the premier provider of optical wavelength management solutions for the telecommunications market depends on our delivery of high-performance, high-quality products and services,” said Richard Payne, vice president of engineering and manufacturing at Polychromix. “The ISO registration process takes our commitment to quality and innovation for our customers to a new level, and gives them the reassurance that the Polychromix Dynamic Channel Orchestrator™ (P-DCO™) and all our future products are developed and delivered according to the highest international quality management standards.”

The Polychromix P-DCO™ is a programmable optical subsystem platform based on patented diffractive MEMS technology that can attenuate, equalize or block wavelengths in telecommunications networks. It allows service providers to dynamically and remotely provision and control optical wavelengths, resulting in considerable operational and capital expense reductions.

ISO, the world's largest developer of quality and environmental standards for business, government, and society, is an international network for the national standards institutes of 148 countries coordinated by the Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland.
