CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Pluris, the leading developer of scalable, fault-tolerant routers for the Internet core, is publicly demonstrating a 40 Gbps routed connection between its TeraPlex core IP routers this week at SuperComm. The demo incorporates four TeraPlex chassis configured as two separate routers. Showcasing the industry's first fiber-optic backplane and interconnect, the demo also highlights the platform's fault-tolerant control modules and line-rate throughput while filtering on access control lists (ACLs). "As we have continued our testing with service providers, they've identified several features of our TeraPlex routers as critical to the foundation of their next-generation IP cores," said Joseph Kennedy, president and CEO of Pluris.
