BRISTOL, U.K. -- Phyworks, Ltd. the advanced analog and mixed signal semiconductor specialist and leading supplier of integrated circuits (ICs) for the communications industry, announced today that they have partnered with MJL Technology, Korea, to distribute their next generation physical layer products for WAN, LAN, SAN and FTTH applications.

Phyworks run a successful distribution network in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan for their award winning product line. This has enabled them to gain major design wins for applications such as Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet, GEPON and GPON as well as the 10G LRM market segment.

“A very important factor when choosing the right distributor for the Korean market was that this success could be carried over and applied in the same way,” said Matthew Cui, Vice President of Business Development, Asia. “MJL demonstrated they were able to offer this high level of service with a strong account management team that were committed to the development of innovative technology, and a company that was well established and is financially strong.”

James B Lin, Director of R&D and CTO at MJL commented, “Phyworks chose MJL for our expertise and strong position as market leaders. Not only do we have sound customer relationships, but we also have a dedicated technical support team which we felt was a very important factor in Phyworks final decision making process, considering the complexity of their leading edge, next generation products. This, coupled with the success of our complementary product line made MJL the leading choice over other distributors.”
