OTTAWA -- Intelligent Photonics Control Corp. (Photonics Control), the world leader in providing embedded control solutions for optical devices, announced today that it has reached a significant milestone. The Company has integrated its solutions into 50 different customer platforms including Optical Amplifiers, VMUXes, OPMs, DGEs, and Tunable Lasers.

Richard Timmons CEO of Photonics Control said: "Having our system-on-a-chip controller work flawlessly in a wide range of optical devices from different manufacturers from around the world provides dramatic evidence that our standard software and hardware platform operates as designed. Our products allow our customers to focus their scarce resources on adding more value to their products. In the end, we enable them to build new generations of equipment, faster and more economically than ever before.”

According to Gary Weiner, VP of Sales and Marketing, “Our customers are challenged to develop new products that require increasing levels of intelligence and sophistication. They want us to work closely with their engineering teams to provide a “tool kit” approach to help deliver the integrated solutions demanded today. Photonics Control offers a simple 1-2-3 engagement process that has proven highly successful in attracting new customers and expanding product platforms with existing customers. First, they send us their optics and target specification. We then integrate, calibrate and test the device. Finally, we return the calibrated device for verification and approval. This enables our customers to move directly to mass production, providing them complete Design, Application, Manufacturing, Qualification and Reliability Data to integrate into their customer support and production programs.”

“We work with customers from design inception to product realization, providing smart optics they can sell to their customers in less than eight weeks. Our business is enabling customers to get reliable, high performance products into commercial production faster, and we are building a base of happy customers,” Mr. Weiner concluded.
