BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Volicon today announced that it has extended the versatility of its flagship product line with the release of the Observer® TS (transport stream) — a new MPEG (ASI/IP) transport stream logging system. Observer TS this solution gives broadcasters, networks, and cable operators the ability to capture full-resolution MPEG transport streams and generate low-resolution proxy content and accompanying metadata. The solution also incorporates complete stream, search, analyze, clip, and publish functionality — all from within the versatile Web-based Observer user interface.

"The new Observer TS system represents the natural evolution of the Observer line to enable logging for MPEG2-based digital video services across the cable, satellite, IPTV, and OTA markets," said Mike Asebrook, senior director of product marketing. "Equipped with an intuitive Web interface and familiar Observer features tailored to handling MPEG transport streams, this new multiplexed logging solution reduces the complexity of logging while adding value to logged data in multiple broadcast and network applications."
