Telus Deploys Sigma OSS

Telus completes deployment of Sigma Systems's OSS service management software for wireless voice and data services

TORONTO -- TELUS has deployed Sigma Systems' ServiceManagement Platform (SMP) to support service provisioning and activationof wireless voice and data services to more than 5.1 millionsubscribers.

TELUS, an $8.8 billion Canadian telecommunications carrier, choseSigma's SMP because of the company's proven expertise deploying wirelessoperational support systems (OSS.)

Sigma's Wireless Service Package provides TELUS with an open andconfigurable OSS service management solution that delivers emergingvoice and data services over 2G, 2.5G and 3G wireless networks. Thewireless solution encapsulates the service management domain expertiseand best practices that Sigma has gained from working closely with someof the world's largest and most innovative telecommunications companies.
