Telcordia's Olive Branch

12:30 PM -- Are you sitting comfortably? Good, because I've got some shocking news -- Telcordia Technologies Inc. is talking to Light Reading again after nearly four years of media relations interruptus.

Way back in 2004, when the software firm was still part of Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) , it took umbrage at some of our coverage and decided to sever relations.

Time, though, is a great healer, so we were able to meet (under escort, of course) with Pat McCarthy, VP of global marketing, service delivery solutions, during last week's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where we caught up with the company's industry pitch.

We're glad the door is open again -– Telcordia is still one of the giants in the telecom software space and is working with many carriers on their all-important service creation and service management strategies, and we're looking forward to re-engaging with the OSS firm.
