MEXICO CITY and PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Telcordia, the leading provider of number portability solutions worldwide, and Neoris, a global business and IT consulting company, today announced that they have partnered to pursue bringing the market-leading Telcordia Number Portability Clearinghouse solution to Mexico. Together, Telcordia hopes to bring its extensive history of innovation and experience and Neoris’ proven track record of system integration and hosted services to Mexico, which has mandated that number portability become a reality in Mexico in 2008.
Number portability will enable Mexican consumers and businesses to benefit from the added choice and convenience that number portability provides. Mandated and implemented in countries around the world, number portability allows subscribers to easily switch communications providers without the time, inconvenience and expense associated with changing phone numbers.
“Telcordia’s global leadership in number portability is a result of worldwide interest in its proven, comprehensive platform that enables fast roll-outs and low total cost of ownership,” said Richard Jacowleff, President, Interconnection Solutions, Telcordia. “Telcordia’s track record as a pioneer and market leader, combined with Neoris’ experience as the largest IT consultant and system integrator in Mexico, uniquely positions us to address the country’s needs and capitalize on the significant market opportunities that exist.”
