May 8, 2009
NICE, France -- Objective Systems Integrators (“OSI”) today announced the launch of the new NetExpert Neon platform and its initial deployment for Wireless Service Quality Management, at Tata TeleServices (TTSL) in Mumbai, India. Earlier this year OSI successfully completed delivery of the TTSL Converged Network Monitoring System (“CNMS”) integrating fault and performance management with trouble ticketing capability. OSI has now implemented Service Quality Management (SQM) for two key services, Short Message Service (SMS) and High Bandwidth Carrier Services.
According to Mr. Mahesh Kowshik, AVP of Technology (CNMS), at Tata Teleservices Ltd, the new Customer Assurance Solution powered by NetExpert Neon provides near real-time monitoring of service quality enabling TTSL to optimize the utilization of their link-sets and provide improved network planning to cope with network growth. Mr. Kowshik, stated, “For the High Bandwidth Carrier Services anytime a circuit or port went down it used to take us up to 3 hours to determine what the customer impact would be. Today, using the NetExpert Neon Carrier SQM solution the time has been reduced to 15 minutes.” The NetExpert Neon solution has also helped to give TTSL more insight into failure rates on their SMS service.
“OSI and TTSL have had a long-standing relationship,” stated, Hamish Butler, CEO of OSI. Butler continued, “OSI is committed to providing TTSL reliable and state-of-the-art Customer Assurance Solutions to help provide improved network reliability and support to their customers. “We believe that our SQM solution will make a significant impact for TTSL and other operators worldwide.”
