LONDON -- Axiom Systems, the leading service fulfillment and service assembly software provider for communications operators, today announced SITA as a customer. The Geneva-based company will deploy Axiom Systems’ AXIOSS platform to manage and configure SITA’s portfolio of integrated network solutions for its global air transport industry customer base.
With the air transport community’s IP-based networks becoming increasingly important to improve customer service and satisfaction, SITA selected Axiom Systems’ service fulfillment platform to manage and configure their Internet-based solutions, with a longer term project plan to expand the desired E2E solution to include other related services.
SITA’s immediate requirements center on the need for an end-to-end solution encompassing service provisioning, service inventory and the activation of their Internet-based solutions. These requirements utilize three modules of AXIOSS: - Order to Service® which monitors and controls the whole service provisioning process allowing users to execute, track and automate order lifecycle; Service Inventory® which is used to manage the physical and logical resources, and maintains synchronization with the network; And Service Activation™ which provides the communications layer for interfaces to other network solutions.
At the heart of industry innovation, in a future project phase SITA plans to implement Axiom Systems Active Catalog™, a service design and process orchestration platform that allows products and services to be quickly created and rolled out, from robust, reusable building blocks. The Active Catalog is at the heart of the TM Forum’s PSA (Product and Service Assembly) architecture of which Axiom Systems was a founding member.
Gregory Ouillon, VP Research, Technology and Innovation at SITA stated, “As the world's leading service provider of IT business solutions and communications services to the air transport industry, it was vital that we implement a flexible yet reliable solution to manage our IP-based network solutions, and for this reason we chose AXIOSS from Axiom Systems. In AXIOSS, we believe we have found such a platform with which to meet and exceed the challenging demands of our customers today while allowing us to stay competitive.”
