S2Net has formed an alliance with BusinessEdge Solutions as part of its plans to expand its business into the United States

CHICAGO -- S2Net today announced that it has formed an alliance with BusinessEdge Solutions Inc., a leading North American communications/media/content focused business and technology-consulting systems integrator (SI), as part of its plans to expand its business into the United States.
The announcement comes just three weeks after S2Net (formerly Open Telecommunications OSS) launched its new brand and business strategy at the Telemanagement World Forum in Nice. As part of its launch, S2Net announced its plans to expand into the rapidly growing global service fulfilment software market.
The BusinessEdge agreement signals the first major step in S2Net’s expansion plans into North America and will involve the two companies working closely together to deliver industry leading service fulfilment and inventory software solutions to North American communications services providers (CSPs). BusinessEdge will provide systems integration and deployment services for S2Net’s key product suites, S2Net-Automation and S2Net-Inventory, as well as working with S2Net to support the growth of existing accounts in North America.
S2Net CEO Rene Frei believes the partnership will position S2Net strongly as it launches in the US OSS market.
“Working with an experienced local partner such as BusinessEdge is key to our strategy of scaling S2Net’s business quickly and effectively in the dynamic US market,” said Mr. Frei.
Mr. Frei said that BusinessEdge was selected by S2Net due to its extensive experience and skills gained in the US telecommunications sector.
“BusinessEdge has a wealth of experience in the telecommunications sector, gained through providing complex industry solutions to telcos across the entire spectrum of network infrastructure. The company also understands S2Net’s specialisation in the OSS service fulfilment software space and it is important that we work with a partner who shares this focus.”
BusinessEdge Solution Partner Bill Hanrahan believes that S2Net’s focus on helping telecommunications service providers bring new products to market more quickly and cost-effectively will be well received by the North American market.
“S2Net has a unique product set that we believe is unmatched in the level of automation that it offers in service-to-network fulfilment. These products have already been proven to deliver substantial business benefits to existing customers and we are impressed by some of the metrics we have seen. Large carriers using S2Net’s solutions have reduced their provisioning times from days to minutes and realised service delivery efficiencies of 400% in some cases. A solution delivering these types of business benefits will resonate strongly in today’s competitive market.”
