BOULDER, Colo. -- Peak8 Solutions, a leading provider of technical support services for connected “smart” homes and digital lifestyle end users, today announced it has secured $5 million in funding from Lacuna Venture Capital and other firms. Existing investors also participated in the round.

The company said the new funding will be used to expand its product development activities and to increase marketing of Supportal.com,™ its recently-launched Internet service which enables consumers to receive premium technical support and service assistance with any device or software they use in their digital lifestyle, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, online and through call centers.

“Peak8’s technology and services are quickly being embraced by the marketplace,” said Ron Renjilian, Peak8’s CEO. “Cable and satellite operators, ISPs, telcos and consumer electronics manufacturers are recognizing the critical need to provide consumers a premium technical support service where the customer experience and satisfaction are the priority.

“This funding from such notable investors as Lacuna Venture Capital, our existing investors, and others is an important milestone for Peak8,” Renjilian said. “With it we will be able to accelerate our customer deployment efforts and bring our transformational solutions to an expanded market more rapidly.”
