SAN FRANCISCO -- More than 65 leading communications service providers (CSPs) have implemented or selected Oracle Communications Applications and infrastructure software in Oracle’s most recent fiscal year to help improve customer service, accelerate time to market, drive service innovation and reduce operational costs.
Oracle’s comprehensive application portfolio helps providers manage key business processes from service creation, customer and sales offer management, and order orchestration, through provisioning and service delivery, to billing, revenue management and reporting.
Following a comprehensive review of Oracle Applications and infrastructure software through the Oracle Insight program, Swisscom, Switzerland's leading CSP, has extended its use of Oracle products (including Oracle's Siebel CRM, Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management and various Oracle Applications and infrastructure software). In particular, Swisscom will extend its use of Siebel CRM, which it has used for several years for its wireless customer services, to support its wireline customers and standardize business processes. Swisscom will also use Oracle’s Hyperion Budgeting and Planning and Hyperion Essbase to simplify budgeting and enable accurate forecasting, as well as gain insight into performance management with advanced modeling capabilities. Swisscom also uses Oracle infrastructure software including Oracle Grid Control to reduce operational costs by consolidating management and monitoring of all applications and IT systems.
Atria Convergence Technologies Pvt. Ltd., (ACT), a leading cable TV service provider in India, has chosen Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management and components of the Oracle Communications Service Fulfillment suite – Oracle Communications Order and Service Management and Oracle Communications Service Activation – to capitalize on the country’s high potential, high growth cable market. Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management will enable ACT to efficiently manage, monetize and maximize each revenue stream for its different customer types, service offerings, partner relationships and payment methods. Oracle Communications Order and Service Management will help ACT to easily roll out new services and provide high-volume, mass market services on a single convergent platform. Oracle Communications Service Activation will provide one-stop order orchestration for all of ACT’s services and technology domains, including IP and broadband services.
