VIENNA and ESPOO, Finland -- T-Mobile Austria is offering new personalized services, such as “MyFaves” social networking, to its customers and enjoying reduced network complexity and maintenance thanks to a single, consolidated database platform from Nokia Siemens Networks.

The recently-implemented Nokia Siemens Networks subscriber data management solution enables T-mobile Austria to introduce new services and applications much faster than before, for instance by delivering targeted advertising and information services or community services like “MyFaves”. The new community service allows subscribers to stay in touch with five favorite friends at a very low fee.

The replacement of a number of separate databases used for different applications and services with a single, shared platform provides real-time access to all subscriber data – a complete view of each customer profile. This allows T-Mobile to provide profiled voice, data or multimedia services to its subscribers, based on their needs or preferences.

“Customer satisfaction counts the most for us at T-Mobile. With the new database solution from Nokia Siemens Networks, we can provide our customers with new services much faster and in a more flexible way. We can also identify their preferences and needs in order to prepare personalized offerings,” said Christian Laqué, Executive Vice President for Networks at T-Mobile Austria.
