FRANKFURT, Germany -- LHS, the leading provider of telecommunications and billing software, today announced that Iusacell Mexico has selected BSCS iX to rate for its advanced 3G capabilities. Iusacell has selected LHS to migrate its billing and customer care system from BSCS 5 to BSCS iX to support its 3G services with real-time rating. Together with Iusacell, LHS will implement BSCS iX in Mexico.
Iusacell is currently offering its customers a range of new 3G services on its code division multiple access (CDMA) network including email, push-to-talk, downloadable ring tones, games, picture messaging, news and video downloads. To support its range of new services Iusacell needed a reliable, yet flexible billing infrastructure.
BSCS iX from LHS allows Iusacell to launch more innovative 3G services and products quickly, whilst supporting them with sophisticated marketing and pricing capabilities. BSCS iX will enable Iusacell to stay ahead of its competition in an increasingly competitive market. With BSCS iX’s pre-post-paid convergence capabilities, Iusacell also has the option of rolling out all services across both pre- and post-paid customers.
Roberto Vargas, Iusacell Chief Information Officer comments: “BSCS iX flexible rating and cost control capabilities and the open architecture will support us striving to remain number one in our market. LHS BSCS iX will allow us to deliver on our promise to provide next-generation services to all our customers.”
