Releases VistaInsight for Networks 3.0 with support for carrier Ethernet and its VistaFoundation Kit 4.0 technology platform
October 15, 2007
PARIS and HERNDON, Va. -- InfoVista (Euronext IFV - FR0004031649), the leading service-centric performance management software vendor, today announced the release of VistaInsight® for Networks 3.0, an updated version of the company’s flagship performance-monitoring software for fixed, mobile and cable service providers. VistaInsight for Networks 3.0 has been designed to enhance service providers’ ability to meet customer demand for accurate and secure delivery of business-critical applications across Carrier Ethernet and IP networks.
The release of VistaInsight for Networks 3.0 comes at a time when traditional service providers and cable multiple system operators (MSOs) are under constant pressure to deliver the most reliable Carrier Ethernet services to corporate customers and mobile operators alike. Corporate users are increasingly adopting Ethernet-based services to power their corporate networks and new revenue-generating applications, while mobile operators are demanding lower cost Carrier Ethernet-based backhaul.
VistaInsight for Networks 3.0 features support for aggressive Service Level Agreements (SLAs) over Carrier Ethernet infrastructure; enhanced support for next generation mobile backhaul infrastructure; and greater visibility into network performance and capacity management made possible by upgrades to VistaFoundation®, InfoVista’s underlying technology platform (please see the press release entitled, “New Release of InfoVista’s Technology Platform Powers Performance Assurance for Next Generation Services” by clicking www.infovista.com/about_infovista/news/press_releases/en/default.asp).
Research from leading industry observers underscores the tremendous growth of Carrier Ethernet services.
According to Heavy Reading’s Carrier Ethernet Switch/Router Quarterly Market Tracker, worldwide sales of Carrier Ethernet services reached $1.45 billion in 2006, and the market is expected to reach $3.7 billion by 2010.
“We’ve kept a laser-focus on the service provider market since our inception nearly 12 years ago and have consistently provided our customers with an industry leading service-centric performance management solution,” said Manuel Stopnicki, chief technology officer, InfoVista. “We specifically engineered VistaInsight for Networks 3.0 to help our service provider customers realize the tremendous revenue opportunities available to them via Ethernet-based business services, and we look forward to continuing to push the envelope with new services that guarantee the highest possible service quality to the end user.”
