HP & Huawei cooperate to help global carriers manage telecom networks

BEIJING -- HP and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. ("Huawei") announced today the signing of a global partnership agreement to jointly help the world's telecom carriers manage their networks more efficiently and continue to provide the best possible quality of service to their end users.

Telecom carriers around the world are adapting to historic changes. Huawei and HP, through their partnership, intend to help them expedite the build-out of next generation networks, reduce their capital and operating expenditures (CAPEX and OPEX), and improve the quality of service to their end customers. Being a leader in providing customized products and solutions for telecommunications operators around the world, Huawei has extensive experiences in the operation and management of telecom networks.

HP, a leading provider of OSS (operations support systems) and IT (information technology) integration services, will provide a complete OSS software system and consulting service. Under the global partnership agreement, Huawei will integrate HP OpenView OSS products and leverage HP consulting and integration services to ensure delivery and installation for customers. With HP OpenView OSS products, Huawei and HP will work together to extend and improve their OSS offerings to provide added value to customers.

Also, the companies will tap their respective global partner communities to help ensure that the right partners and the right applications are included to optimize the solutions for customers.
