Launches NetBoss XS Service Manager for broadband, wireless, and converged networks

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS - News), a leading global provider of resource management and service assurance systems, today introduced NetBoss XS(TM) Service Manager, a new Service Management product containing the applications most critical to managing today's service oriented networks. NetBoss XS Service Manager provides exceptional value in a single product package with extensive features, including Service Catalog, Service Inventory, Service Performance Monitoring, Service Quality Monitoring, and Service Impact Analysis (SIA).

The most powerful feature of NetBoss XS(TM) is its SIA capability, which enables service providers to rapidly and automatically perform service impact analysis, quickly correlating adversely affected services with the corresponding resource problem events. This feature expeditiously focuses network operations staff on the critical events that affect customer service, enabling timely and accurate identification of the impacted service.

Complementing SIA, the NetBoss XS Service Catalog enables service providers to define individual and hierarchically bundled service templates. Its companion application, the NetBoss XS Service Inventory, provides the capability to replicate these service packages into standard or customized individual services, creating a triple-play service bundle that is vital to service provider revenue growth in today's competitive service marketplace.
