STOCKHOLM -- DigitalRoute, the leading provider of embedded and standalone mediation today announces general availability of its fifth generation convergent mediation platform MediationZone® which sets new industry standards for embedded and stand-alone convergent mediation.

DigitalRoute has since its inception in 2000 provided the mediation market with leading edge technology, and there are now over 90 customers of MediationZone worldwide. With the mission of making mediation simple and cost-effective, DigitalRoute designed MediationZone from scratch to support online and batch mediation in one single platform. It is today used as an embedded or standalone technology by Tier-1 operators, network equipment providers, and leading BSS/OSS ISVs on the global market.

In line with the previous MediationZone releases, MediationZone 5.0 offers the market a unique convergent mediation technology for all communication requirements in one single platform. Highlights of the release include enhanced functionality for demanding Tier-1 environments and support for SOA (Service Oriented Architecture). WebServices integration is now achieved through configuration, which offers a new level of information exchange between traditional telecommunications equipment and next-generation IT-systems.

Continuing the tradition of simplifying upgrades processes, DigitalRoute has developed a tool for the easy migration to MediationZone 5.0 from previous versions, and as proof points, practically all of DigitalRoute’s 90 customers operate on version 4.1 of MediationZone, and 2 of DigitalRoute’s customers have already successfully upgraded to MediationZone 5.0 within just a few days of general availability.

“This MediationZone release sets a milestone in the evolution of mediation technology. Its functional completeness empowers our customers to solve the most complex data integration problems in an easy way through configuration”, said Magnus Hyttsten CTO at DigitalRoute.

“With this release, our customers can continue to meet the requirements of their fast changing and highly competitive business environment, while reducing cost and accelerate time to market for services” said Kari Miettinen VP Sales at DigitalRoute.
