Comptel Updates Its OSS

HELSINKI -- Comptel Corporation (OMX Helsinki: CTL1V), the leading vendor of dynamic Operations Support System (OSS) software, announced today the release of versions 6 of their award winning convergent mediation solution. Release 6 continues Comptel’s long successful track-record in the field of real-time mediation.

The latest version of Comptel Convergent Mediation Solution introduces new functionality, including for example:

The new Business Logic Development environment provides an intuitive means to visualize and edit the business logic that controls how data usage should be handled. Compared to traditional complex scripting tools, Comptel’s Business Logic Development greatly simplifies the process by which a service provider’s specific requirements can be implemented. It also significantly reduces the risk of costly errors being introduced into the processing logic.

The Record Correction Tool allows the definition of rules that control how to process incorrect or incomplete data records that would otherwise have been rejected. By enabling quick automated corrective actions to be taken, Comptel’s Record Correction Tool allows service providers to capture revenue that might have been lost, and increases the quality of the data forwarded billing or other systems.

Comptel Convergent Mediation Solution Release 6 now also offers an enhanced way to exploit the complete auditing capabilities already built into earlier releases. It allows summary and statistical information about usage processing to be easily configured and shared with other systems, enhancing revenue assurance processes. As well as providing in-depth business intelligence information to service providers and improving their ability to identify revenue leaks, the solution helps them to comply with corporate governance regulations, such as Sarbanes-Oxley.
