ALBANY, N.Y. -- CommSoft, a leading provider of BSS/OSS and service activation solutions, announced today that Chazy and Westport Telephone has chosen CommSoft's OSS/BSS solution for its internet customers. This effort will unite this group of customers with the rest of their account base already serviced by CommSoft.

Chazy and Westport's acquisition of a large group of data customers was being maintained on a disparate legacy platform. Offering bundled services and taking full advantage of their robust network infrastructure was problematic. Now Chazy and Westport will be able to maximize their infrastructure investment, improve customer satisfaction, and creatively bundle all of their services more efficiently.

"Having our customer service reps maintain two OSS/BSS systems was unproductive," said Paul Barton, VP of Operations for Westelcom. "We needed to consolidate our customer base onto one platform so we could eliminate this redundancy. From our experience with CommSoft, this migration is the answer to our problems. We've also recently deployed and billed VoIP services on this same platform."
