SYDNEY -- Clarity, the telecommunication industry’s Operational Support System (OSS) business process automation company, has won a significant contract with Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) to install its new unified OSS solution, Clarity 10 (C10). C10, the first carrier grade OSS to offer a tightly integrated provisioning, inventory, service assurance and workforce management solution on a single unified platform, will be deployed to support SLT’s transition to Next Generation Networks (NGN).

SLT, Sri Lanka’s largest telecommunications company, currently has over two million subscribers across its fixed line, data and mobile networks. As the only integrated operator in the country to offer these convergent services, SLT decided to develop its voice, data and IP services by migrating to an NGN architecture and therefore needed a next generation OSS to match.

Rohana Wijeweera, Chief Information Technology Officer, SLT, explained, “We were already using Clarity’s C9 which managed our existing infrastructure perfectly. However, with SLT’s predicted growth in the region we required an even greater level of functionality and having closely compared SLT’s requirements and C10’s new product suite, we are certain that upgrading with Clarity will more than satisfy our new service needs.”
