Application data migration firm Celona Technologies announces £7M Series B funding round with new investors Caledonia Investment
July 9, 2007
LONDON -- Celona Technologies today announced a £7 million Series B funding round with new investors Caledonia Investment plc. As part of the investment, Caledonia's Jamie Cayzer-Colvin and Mathew Masters will join the Celona board.
This investment represents a new milestone in the growth and development of the company. It provides the financial platform to enable Celona to build out its customer-facing sales and support activities and to continue to develop its industry leading application data migration software for Communication Service Providers (CSPs), extending the support received from Quester who have backed Celona for the last 3 years.
Celona is tackling one of the biggest challenges facing CSPs today – Celona’s solution enables CSPs to transform the software platforms which manage their operations without affecting customer service. Through its Evolve application software, Celona puts control over migration from legacy systems to next generation software platforms into the hands of the people running the business, keeps data available to operations throughout the process and dramatically lowers the risk of failure. The patent-pending software blends a next generation Service Oriented Architecture with practical migration experience to create a uniquely innovative product.
“Securing this level of investment marks the start of another exciting chapter in the company’s history and will allow us to build on and further increase the momentum we have built up in the market. We are entering an important phase in our business development and I am delighted to have such strong and experienced financial partners” said Tony Sceales, CEO at Celona.
