ALBANY, N.Y. -- CommSoft, a leading provider of OSS/BSS and service activation software, announced today that Arvig Communications Systems has selected the CommSoft Service Activation Suite (VTC) to automatically provision services for its subscribers. VTC, the industry's premier Service Activation suite, is used by several of the largest providers to activate multiple services across a wide range of network elements. VTC enables real-time service and business process automation for Video, Voice, Wireless, and Data services with immediate revenue generation across the ever-widening landscape of network technologies.

Arvig, of Perham, MN, selected CommSoft's VTC to automatically provision services for its growing base of 45,000+ subscribers. "We found this new version of CommSoft's provisioning to be far more efficient and flexible," stated Bill Pawlowski, Director of Information Systems for Arvig. "As we add new devices into our network, we are confident that VTC can provision any of them. We can do more with VTC within our infrastructure, and we can do much of the scripting ourselves." Tightly integrated with billing systems and network elements, VTC provides the middleware for over 100 different elements today. VTC gathers provisioning requirements from service order information, activates services in related network elements, then responds and alerts OSS's and operational personnel as needed, all automatically and in real time.

"As ACS grows, they are always looking to stay ahead of the technology curve. Their decision to implement the newest generation of provisioning software definitely shows that commitment to their customers," said Jim Jackson, CommSoft CTO.
