As the largest mobile operator in Algeria, ATM Mobilis is ambitious to further expand its GSM business. With construction of the new optical network, ATM Mobilis expects to strengthen its existing competitiveness of rich bandwidth both to bring better using experience for its current customers and attract more news ones.

"We are pleased to cooperate with ATM Mobilis, the most important GSM operator in Algeria", said Mr. Zou Ying, General Manager of ZTE Algeria, "Our optical products have been deployed in more than 60 countries including China, Indonesia, India and Nigeria. Working with our local partners like ATM Mobilis, we hope to utilize the field-proven products and our technologies to bring better network experience for Algeria people."

Internationally, ZTE increased sales by nearly 70% in 2005 due in large part to investment in R&D, which has been maintained at a level of 10 per cent of annual turnover.
