SEOUL -- LuXpert Technologies, a leading fiber optic communications company that specializes in building optical sub-systems for high speed optical communications, announces the introduction of a 80km SFP+ optical transceiver.

The DLXP-x55xxD-3G 80km SFP+ is the most advanced of the new family of optical transceivers to be offered by Luxpert Technologies. The 80km SFP+ features an optical link budget of 24dB and a typical power consumption of 2.5 Watts. The DLXP-x55xxD-3G module complies with ITU-T G.959.1 P1L1-2D2 optical standards.

“The 80km SFP+ module fills an unaddressed market need ”, said Leo Byun, CEO of Luxpert Technologies. “By leveraging our experience with optical subsystems and WDM PON Transceivers, we designed a product that would enable higher density long reach linecard applications.”

Samples will be available in July 2010 with production beginning at the end of 2010. Luxpert Technologies can be seen exhibiting the new 80km SFP+ transceiver at the OFC/NFOEC 2010 Conference in San Diego in Booth #3018.

LuXpert Technologies, a leading fiber optic communications company that specializes in building optical sub-systems for high speed optical communications, announces the introduction of a 10km XFP optical transceiver.

The DLXP-x31xx7-3G 10km XFP is the first of a growing family of transceivers to be offered by Luxpert Technologies. The Multirate 10km XFP operates from 9.95Gbps to 11.3Gbps and supports SONET/SDH, 10Gb Ethernet and 10Gb FibreChannel standards. With a power consumption less than 1.6W, the DLXP-x31xx7-3G 10km XFP will enable system vendors to save power for next generation low power system designs.

“The 10km XFP design was targeting low power consumption and high-performance ”, said Leo Byun, CEO of Luxpert Technologies. “The 10km XFP would be a good fit for new optical system designs that target a lower power, ‘green’ approach to optical line cards.”

Luxpert Technologies, a leading fiber optic communications company that specializes in building optical sub-systems for high speed optical communications, announces the introduction of a miniature low-cost single Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA).

The LXM-AMPY Miniature EDFA is the newest in the extensive portfolio of optical amplification subsystems offered by Luxpert Technologies. It features a compact 65mm x 45mm x 10mm footprint, less than 1.5W power consumption and an intelligent command interface accessible via RS-232 or I2C for control and monitoring. The LXM-AMPY can be used in a Booster, Line or Pre-amplifier configuration.

“The Miniature Low-Cost Single Channel EDFA can be a key building block in system and subsystem applications where a compact low power footprint is required, such as ROADMs and 40G Transmitters and Receivers”, said Leo Byun, CEO of Luxpert Technologies. “Our history of designing optical subsystems has allowed us to shrink the size and power while not compromising quality or performance. ”

Samples of the Miniature EDFA will be available in April 2010 with production beginning in June 2010. Luxpert Technologies can be seen exhibiting at the OFC/NFOEC 2010 Conference in San Diego in Booth #3018.
