MILPITAS, Calif., and ORLANDO, Fla. -- JDSU today announced the latest generation of its MTS/T-BERD fiber optic test line, the MTS/T-BERD 6000 LITE. A highly integrated, non-modular, compact Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) ideally suited for the construction, fault location and troubleshooting/maintenance of FTTx and access networks, the MTS/T-BERD 6000 LITE offers even inexperienced field service technicians a high-performance tool for broadband network quality and reliability. The tester will be on display this week at the 2007 FTTH Conference & Expo in Orlando, September 30-October 4 (booth 304).

The new product will be marketed as the T-BERD 6000 LITE in North America and the MTS-6000 LITE throughout Europe, Asia and other regions.

"The JDSU MTS/T-BERD 6000 LITE is a full-featured OTDR and fault locator for the most demanding test conditions found in the last mile," said Enzo di Luigi, general manager of JDSU's fiber optics Communications Test and Measurement group. "Our tester offers the best screen size in its class, facilitating OTDR and FTTx/access network test demands by simultaneously displaying the required information on one screen."
