DURHAM, N.C. -- ExceLight Communications Inc., a subsidiary of Sumitomo Electric Industries (SEI), will be demonstrating new 10 Gb/s lasers for coarse wavelength-division multiplexing (CWDM) at OFC/NFOEC, Booth 2340, in Anaheim on March 27 to 29.

The lasers are packaged in the smallest 10G TOSA available, a mini-TOSA with LC interface for easy design into SFP+ and XFP transceivers. Available in eight standard wavelengths from 1470 nm to 1610 nm, they use SEI's proven distributed feedback (DFB) technology to achieve both exceptional performance and the world-class reliability for which SEI is known. Expanding on SEI's industry-leading line of CWDM lasers for 2.5 Gb/s, the new lasers are ideal for 10 gigabit Ethernet and 8.5G Fibre Channel needs.

OFC/NFOEC attendees can see the CWDM TOSAs operating at the Excelight booth over a 25-km link.
