Dan DiLeo, former president/COO of Optoelectronics at Lucent Technologies, joins the BinOptics board of directors

ITHACA, N.Y. -- BinOptics Corporation is pleased to announce that Dan DiLeo has joined the Board of Directors effective October 9, 2008.

Mr. DiLeo has 33 years experience in the semiconductor industry. He was EVP at Agere Systems and President/COO of Optoelectronics at Lucent Technologies. Through the years his responsibilities included ICs for applications from wireless to PCs, consumer products and networking plus a broad range of photonic devices and subsystems. Since retiring in 2002, he serves on the board of public companies RF Micro Devices and Data I/O and advises several small public and private companies in the US and Europe. He holds several patents in device design and processing. In addition to completing executive MBA programs at Tuck Graduate Business School of Dartmouth and INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, he earned MS and Tau Beta Pi BS degrees in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Purdue University and Polytechnic Institute of NY.
