DeNuccio Leaves JDSU

10:50 AM -- A Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing Friday afternoon says Kevin DeNuccio resigned from the JDSU (Nasdaq: JDSU; Toronto: JDU) board of directors as of Nov. 10.

Shall we say "abruptly resigned"? He gave them one day's notice, according to the filing.

The filing includes the usual language saying there was no disagreement with the company.

DeNuccio joined JDSU's board at the end of 2005, but he's better known to Light Reading as Redback Networks' onetime CEO and, later, its vice chairman after the acquisition by Ericsson AB (Nasdaq: ERIC). (See DeNuccio Replaced at Redback.) Ericsson is fading down the Redback name, and we're checking as to whether DeNuccio is still sticking around at the company. (See Goodbye Redback.)

DeNuccio is also on the board of Metaswitch Networks . (See MetaSwitch Names CEO, Adds to Board.)
