Anritsu, Sumitomo Demo at OFC/NFOEC

LOS ANGELES -- Anritsu Company (OFC booth #1710) and Sumitomo Electric Industries (SEI) announce that the two companies will be conducting a joint demonstration on 40 Gb/s serial CFP-FR optical module technology for high-speed optical networks in Sumitomo’s booth (#1624) during OFC 2012. In the demonstration, the MD1260A 40/100G Ethernet Analyzer will provide advanced test functions at 40/43 Gb/s transmission rates to show the error-free performance of the SCF0420FR series optical transceiver module from SEI when transmitting and receiving at full rate.

“OFC has always provided the forum for the next-generation of optical technology to be shown and discussed. We are helping to continue that tradition by participating in the demonstration with SEI, which will highlight the performance necessary for Next Generation Networks (NGNs),” said Wade Hulon, General Manager and Vice President, Anritsu Company. “Our MD1260A is used to assure the quality of high-speed networks forming the foundation of next-generation applications for cloud computing, which makes it a perfect solution in a demonstration such as the one SEI is conducting.”

“SEDU is committed to developing the products necessary to meet the requirements of high-bandwidth, high-speed optical networks. Anritsu shares that commitment and its MD1260A is an excellent test solution to ensure the performance of our optical module at OFC,” said Kaz Tanida, Executive Vice President.
