Optelian selects T.I.D, FZE as company's exclusive representation in the Middle East and Africa

DUBAI and OTTAWA and ATLANTA -- Optelian, a trusted designer and manufacturer of world class optical transmission systems, today announced the appointment of Mr. Gary O'Neal of T.I.D, FZE to exclusively represent the business development interests of Optelian in the Mid-East and Africa regions. Significant to the agreement is the exploration of opportunities pertinent to Strategic Partners, Technology Transfer and Collaboration agreements.

O'Neal has more than thirty years of telecommunications experience as an established entrepreneur and has held many positions as CEO or president and/or chief technology officer with numerous start-ups as well as a public company. Recently, Mr. O'Neal served as president and chief technology officer for Teralight, Ltd, a professional telecommunications engineering company and also serves as chief technology advisor to SAMENA Telecommunications Council. He founded and led Iris Broadband, Inc., a very successful infrastructure development and outside plant construction company which was also a facilities-based telecom and IT services provider.
