Infinera Wins Deal by Default

Ray Le Maistre

10:30 AM -- Infinera Corp. (Nasdaq: INFN) finds itself in the rather peculiar position of having won a small optical equipment deal in India by default, reportedly being the only one of six bidders to have submitted acceptable paperwork to Railtel Corporation of India Ltd. , the long-distance telecom services arm of India's Ministry of Railways.

For the full story, including the identities of the vendors that didn't make the cut, see Storm Brews Over Optical Deal.
