ADVA Gets a Share of NYSE Action

ADVA Optical Networking equipment has been deployed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) 's Secure Financial Trading Infrastructure (SFTI) network, where Ciena Corp. (NYSE: CIEN) has been ruling the transport domain for several years. (See ADVA Lands NYSE Euronext Deal.)

ADVA's FSP 3000 WDM gear has been installed at a new SFTI access center, which requires high-end performance to satisfy the demands of the financial trading community.

Ciena has been part of the SFTI network, which has been expanding its reach recently, since 2009. (See Ciena Sending 100GE Live and NYSE Expands With Equinix.)

Why this matters
This is a significant announcement for ADVA, as an installation on the NYSE's network is one of the leading customer references in the world because of the high transaction volume and latency-sensitivity requirements for stock trading and other financial data.
