Slovenia's cable operator Telemach selects Transmode for metro and backbone networks

STOCKHOLM -- Transmode, a leading provider of optical networking solutions today announced that Telemach, the primary provider of cable TV, telephony and broadband internet services for Slovenia has upgraded parts of its national network with Transmode WDM equipment.

Telemach, which is owned by Mid Europa Partners group, an investment group operating in Central Europe, and previously part of the UPC group, focuses on providing advanced, high quality services that bring the digital world to the customers. Its extensive network, which reaches over 4,000km across the country, is based on a combination of optical and coaxial components.

Through constant investment in technology innovations, Telemach provides a high level of service to a wide range of Slovenian domestic users and businesses. These services include Cable TV (analog and digital), Internet Service, Telephony (SIP) and Multichannel Multipoint Distribution Services (MMDS - otherwise known as Wireless Cable) for one way TV distribution and for full triple play service).
