PETAH TIKVA, ISRAEL -- ECI Telecom Ltd. (NASDAQ/NM symbol: ECIL) announced today the deployment of its bi-directional DWDM solution as part of its LumiNet family of DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) Optical Network products and XDM solution. The new solution dramatically enhances the capabilities of existing optical network rings by enabling bi-directional transmission over a single fiber. ECI Telecom's Bi-Directional optical networking solution alleviates network traffic bottlenecks by maximizing the utilization of a single fiber and is a particularly cost effective for operators who lease fiber.
