Dang Wenshuan, Huawei's Chief Strategy Architect, delivered a keynote speech

At the Autonomous Driving Network (ADN) summit of the Huawei Ultra-Broadband Forum (UBBF) 2024, Dang Wenshuan, Huawei's Chief Strategy Architect, delivered a keynote speech called "Envision Telcos in the age of AI" and released the Striding Towards the Intelligent World White Paper 2024 - ADN.

Dang said: "As AI technologies continuously promote full-scale intelligent transformation across all industries, we envision telcos to feature the 6 A's in the age of AI. These include: Adaptive User Experience, which allows telcos to dynamically adjust network or service policies based on real-time user experience; Auto-Evolving Products, such as 5G New Calling that makes communication more interesting and convenient, which are self-learning and continuously iterating; Autonomous Operations, such as developing agents for high-value scenarios, including network optimization and changes; Augmented Workforce, which involves developing role-based copilot apps like home broadband installation and maintenance and field maintenance copilots; All Connected Resources, which requires deploying network digital twins, such as optical and IP network digital twins; and AI Native Infrastructure, which includes 10-Gigabit access networks and ultra-high-speed, low-latency, intelligent, and elastic metro and backbone networks. Additionally, telcos should take Autonomous Networks (AN) Level 4 as the starting point. We expect more telcos to explore further and implement practices regarding the 6 A's and create more new value in the age of AI."

In addition to envisioning telcos in the age of AI, Striding Towards the Intelligent World White Paper 2024 - ADN delves into seven key trends in the AN industry and offers 17 recommendations for evolving toward AN Level 4. Built on the telecom foundation model, Huawei's new ADN solution assists telcos in rapidly achieving AN Level 4 in high-value scenarios.
