ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Coastcom, a leading manufacturer and supplier of Core-Metro-Access solutions that bridge the gap between TDM & IP networks, today expanded its service provider (ILEC, IOC, CLEC, etc.) presence by welcoming Phillips Communications, a nationwide leader in the telecommunications services market, as a Coastcom Certified Partner (CCP). Coastcom’s strong sales, marketing and engineering support teams currently present in the Utilities, Transportation, Government Agencies, and Service Provider markets will gain momentum with the addition of Phillips Communications as a CCP, particularly with service providers. Phillips Communications will resell and integrate Coastcom’s Next Generation Core-Metro-Access solutions, which includes the GigaEdge Coarse Wave Division Multiplexer (CWDM) Reconfigurable Optical Add Drop Multiplexer (ROADM), RazorEdge Ethernet over SONET/SDH (EoS), and RazorAccess Multi Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP).

“Phillips Communications adds significant momentum to our strong growth in the service provider market,” said Randy Peterson, Coastcom’s Vice President of Sales. “As a telecommunications solution provider, Phillips Communications’ team of sales and engineering professionals has extensive experience and expertise integrating hardware solutions in the service provider market. Phillips Communications’ reputation for excellent customer service has enabled them to develop close relationships with some of the largest service providers, which provides us with tremendous opportunities for increased growth.”

“Coastcom’s customer-driven approach to service and their innovative products are a natural fit for our organization,” said Bobby Baine, Phillips Communications Vice President. “By investing in Coastcom’s technology, our customers will see immediate results through cost efficient migration from TDM & ATM networks to an IP network while increasing bandwidth and improving network reliability and performance.”
