Dept. of Defense gives Opnet $3.2 million to enhance NETWARS, an app for analyzing defense-related network communications

WASHINGTON -- OPNET Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPNT), the leading provider of intelligent network management software, today announced that it has been awarded a $3.2 million dollar contract by the U.S. Department of Defense to enhance NETWARS, a software application for analyzing defense-related network communications. Today's announcement follows OPNET's successful delivery of NETWARS 2001-4, a significant development milestone in the NETWARS Program. The terms of the new contract include software and services from OPNET to be delivered in phases, to be completed by December 30, 2002.
