Verios RAN 3G monitoring solution to be launched at MWC as “eoCompass†through a global OEM partnership with Anritsu

DUBLIN -- Verios today announced that its innovative software solution for real-time monitoring, management and troubleshooting of modern mobile communications networks will receive its first major global product release at Mobile World Congress, the premier global event for the mobile communications industry which will take place in Barcelona from February 14th to 17th.
The Verios RAN (Radio Access Network) 3G network monitoring solution will be launched at the event under the product branding of "eoCompass" by Anritsu A/S, with whom Verios has signed a global OEM partnership deal for the worldwide sales, marketing and distribution rights to the Verios software solution.
The Verios product addresses a significant problem for operators of modern mobile communications networks. The explosion of smartphone usage is placing severe pressure on the capabilities of mobile networks with growing instances of dropped calls, blocked calls and data connection issues which cause operators to lose revenue and ultimately, dissatisfy and lose their customers, and damage their brand reputation.
Eighty percent of these quality problems on mobile networks are caused by issues at the radio access level which are increasingly difficult and expensive to solve as network infrastructure and traffic increasingly become more complex. The Verios product provides an innovative solution that enables operators for the first time to monitor and optimise the performance of their radio networks in a real-time, network-wide and scalable manner.
"When you consider that quality issues on a modern mobile communications network can cause an operator to instantly lose up to 2% off their top-line revenues and over time increase their churn rate by up to 30% through customer dissatisfaction, on top of the long-term costs to their brand value from having unreliable network quality, then the return on investment from the Verios solution is enormous," said Mike Manchip, CTO of Verios.
