DENVER -- Trilithic, a leader in Broadband Testing Equipment is pleased to present the new 8853Q Spectrum Analyzer to the HFC Market. The new 3 GHz 8853Q Spectrum Analyzer is designed for headend applications, yet it’s so versatile it can be used for analysis, testing and troubleshooting anywhere in the cable network. With Q-Lab, the companion software utility provided with each 8853Q, remotely customizes channel & test plans to fulfill your specific testing needs and transfer them to your 8853Q. Save and download test results and screenshots for report generation or further analysis.

All of this on top of a comprehensive array of digital signal quality tests including, QAM, MER, pre and post FEC BER, Equalizer tap graph, in-channel frequency response, and group delay. The new larger color display makes measurement interpretation and analysis simple, decreasing the tech learning curve and improving accuracy and productivity. For test regiments that are repeated frequently or on a schedule (e.g., FCC proofs) an automated test capability enables the user to pre-program test sequences to be performed on-demand or according to schedule and the analyzer provides a detailed report of the results. The 8853Q adds to all of these sophisticated analysis features field-friendly ergonomics including a smaller, lighter package than expected, and a battery life that makes field use practical. With an entry price significantly lower than competitively featured analyzers, cable systems can put sophisticated analysis and troubleshooting capability in the hands of a wider range of technicians.

Available for demonstration at the Cable Tec Expo in Denver Co. October 28-29, 2009. For further information please visit us at www.trilithic.com
