Spirent Enhances Test Tools
Carriers and network equipment vendors leverage Spirent test systems for next generation network deployments
October 30, 2007
CRAWLEY, U.K. -- Spirent Communications plc (LSE: SPT), a global provider of performance analysis and service management solutions, today announced several new enhancements to its portfolio of next generation network testing solutions that ease deployments of converged networks and services. These include Packet Data Gateway (PDG) testing on Spirent Landslide and Bearer Independent Call Control (BICC) protocol testing on Spirent Abacus 5000.
Competition and consolidation is forcing service providers and network equipment vendors to expedite the deployment of successful next generation networking technologies, such as IMS and WiMAX, while ensuring the highest quality of service and subscriber experience. The new features introduced on Spirent Landslide, Spirent Protocol Tester and Spirent Abacus 5000 enables the industry to overcome the complexities of testing these converged technologies.
“Next-generation network architectures allows users to easily move between networks be they wireless or wireline. However, with this ease of use, come numerous technical challenges,” said Andy Huckridge, director of Next Generation Networks (NGN) solutions marketing at Spirent Communications. “Spirent’s NGN test solutions are specifically designed for multi-protocol and multi-application test cases, to ensure faster test cycle times and reduce product development time.”
