NeuStar named Mark Barber vice president, Cable Market Group and Denis Curran vice president and Assistant General Counsel

WASHINGTON -- NeuStar Inc., a provider of essential, neutral interoperability services to the global communications industry, today named Mark Barber vice president, Cable Market Group and Denis Curran vice president and Assistant General Counsel.

Barber brings 25 years of cable and operations experience to NeuStar. He will be responsible for NeuStar's sales and business development efforts geared toward the cable industry, and will report to Malone.
Prior to joining NeuStar, Barber served as corporate vice president, telephony at Charter Communications Inc., a broadband communications company, where he was responsible for the development and deployment of broadband data, interactive video and all telephony strategy and services.
Barber has held senior positions in the telecommunications, cable, and wireless industries in functional areas including sales, marketing, operations, engineering, business, and strategic development at CFW Communications, Inc., Comcast and Hauser Communications. He spent part of his career working in the United Kingdom, Poland and Venezuela.
"Denis Curran brings a wealth of legal and industry experience to NeuStar's legal department, and will be instrumental in managing securities, mergers and acquisitions. Denis' background and experience make him the ideal choice for our team," said Martin Lowen, senior vice president and General Counsel.
Curran will be responsible for matters relating to securities, mergers and acquisitions, and will report to Lowen. Prior to joining NeuStar, Curran served as an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where he managed complex corporate securities, finance, mergers, acquisitions, and business contracts.
Curran graduated from George Washington University Law School with the highest honors, where he served as editor of the George Washington Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. Curran earned his A.B. degree from Princeton University.
