SAN JOSE, Calif., and MONTREAL -- ONI Systems Corp. (Nasdaq:ONIS), a leading provider of optical telecommunications systems for metropolitan and regional markets, today announced the opening of its new Lightwave Design Centre in Montreal, Quebec. The new facility, which houses an optical research laboratory, marks ONI's further expansion into markets outside of the United States.
