Occam Networks brings in former Nishan CFO Howard M. Bailey

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Occam Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:OCCM) today announced that it has appointed Howard M. Bailey to the position of chief financial officer effective immediately. Bailey, who will report directly to CEO and President Bob Howard-Anderson, will be responsible for leading the company's financial strategy and growth, as well as overseeing finance and accounting, and investor relations functions. "Howard's range of knowledge and experience will help Occam to reach its fiscal and operational goals," said Howard-Anderson. "We are well-positioned to take advantage of new market opportunities to generate revenue in the U.S. and international markets, and Howard's expertise will ensure that we capitalize on these growth opportunities. I am delighted to welcome him to the Occam team." Bailey joins Occam Networks from Nishan Systems, where he was the chief financial officer and vice president of operations. Prior to working with Nishan Systems, Bailey served as senior vice president and CFO at C-Cube Microsystems Inc. where he was involved in the sale of the company to LSI Logic. Occam also announced that former Occam President and CEO, Kumar Shah, would remain on the company's board of directors, as well as become a consultant to the company. Occam Networks Inc.
