Telefónica O2 Czech Republic announces personnel changes

MADRID, Spain -- There are several personnel and organisation changes to take place in Telefónica O2 Czech Republic.

Changes in Residential Segment

Effective December 2007 Simon Burckardt will be replaced in the position of Chief Marketing Officer of the Consumer Division by Matts Erik Johansen Marketing Director for Business & Corporate Segment. In his new role Matts Johansen will be responsible for promoting advantages of the products of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic and thus stenghtening and increasing company´s market position.

"Simon Burckhardt has worked at several key leadership positions in Telefónica O2 marketing and sales organizations and has been a core contributor to the company over the past three years. His leadership and telecom experience have helped the company to reinforce its leading position in the products and services market in the Czech Republic. Simon's decision is motivated mainly by personal reasons. During his tenure in Prague his family remained in the U.K. and he now wishes to return home. However, he is going to stay with us for a few more months, to ensure a smooth and effective transition of his role," commented Mr. Burskhardt´s decision Salvador Anglada, CEO of the company.
